She slides the smooth edge over her skin
Deep breath
Sighing, she flips over the razor blade, and lightly scratches her skin
Deep breath
Pushing farther into her skin, she draws some blood
Deep breath, keep breathing, don't stop
Working the blade across her wrist, she flinches for a second from the pain.
Deep breath
Holding back the tears that form in her light brown eyes, she dabs at the budding blood on the cuts
Deep breath
Gasping when the pain subsides and the weight is lifted off her shoulders
Deep breath, keep breathing, don't stop
Every inch of her shudders as the pain is back
Deep breath
The cloth painfully pushed against her deep cuts, cutting off the blood flow
Deep breath
She lifts it for a second to watch the blood begin to form again
Deep breath, keep breathing, don't stop
Closing her eyes, and listening to her pulse race
Deep breath
She holds onto the counter, for support, before walking to the door
Deep breath
She opens the door to see him standing in front of her.
Deep breath, keep breathing, don't stop.
She folds a Band-Aid over her wrist
Deep breath
She pulls down her long sleeves over her old and new cuts
Deep breath
Closing her eyes to control the tears she reaches for the door knob
Deep breath, keep breathing, don’t stop
She holds the door for a second, and turns the handle
Deep breath
Walking down the hall she sighs, clutching the small pass
Deep breath
She returns to class, nobody noticing her enter the room with tear stained cheeks
Deep breath, keep breathing, don’t stop
